Replaced older stove, with Escape 1800, had our 1st fire yesterday, had some burn off smoke but once we cleared the room all was good. Our seasoned wood must still be a little wet. We had to start with door open. Once it caught we closed door and it took well. All in all we are very happy with our Escape 1800.
