I've owned 4 different wood stoves over a 45 year period. The last 3 were installed in the basement, with a cut out in the floor for the heat to rise through. This one is the Mack Truck of wood stoves. When they say it is 600 lbs, believe that is 4 guy

I've owned 4 different wood stoves over a 45 year period. The last 3 were installed in the basement, with a cut out in the floor for the heat to rise through. This one is the Mack Truck of wood stoves. When they say it is 600 lbs, believe that is 4 guys heavy. I mounted the stove on an 18" high concrete pillar for easier access and build a wood frame for my 4 strong guys to lift it. I put my first fire in it today, and it worked flawlessly. For once, I am looking forward to winter.
