Very pleased with the performance of our Escape 1800. I live on the central coast of California in a bungalow built in the 50s- plenty of freezing fog rolling in and out most of the year. Not only does the stove heat our home better than the gas wall heaters, it also helps dry out our very moist air. Many homes in the area have mold problems due to proximity to the ocean- wood burners dry things right up. We also get at least one multi-day power outage every year. Cozy, dry, and looks beautiful in my home, couldn’t be happier.
