We have not yet had a fire in our new stove as we are currently in a heat wave. I have confidence that the stove will perform great. This is our third Drolet stove, the first two have been fantastic, I have no reason to expect less out of this one. It is beautiful and well crafted. My only complaint, and this is my fault, no fault on the manufacturer, is the size. It is quite a bit smaller than I was expecting. I do understand there are dimensions in the product description, so again, I own my mistake. However the pictures on the website make this look much larger than it actually is. We will use it this winter and likely need to purchase the Deco 3 (large) next year.
