I believe I will be very satisfied with this stove as the wood I can put it straight in. I have yet to light light the wood stove as I did find it low to the ground so I built a 6-in hearth out of 3/4-in thick tile now I find it at just the right height for feeding. I just got it all hooked up today and I'm going to light it for the first time tomorrow as the pipes are new and that way I can open the doors and windows to allow the smell to leave the building. getting excited
