My Drolet 1800 wood stove is located the unfinished concrete basement replete with a garage door and a staircase to the above woodworking workshop. Both floors are 1000 square ft. The average nighttime temperatures are between 23 and 16 currently. The above workshop was just fully insulated with new windows and actual walls, the downstairs not so much. While I can't say that it fully heats this whole space up to a balmy 67 degrees all on it's own, it's dang near close. If it was located in my living quarters where I kept a steady fire around the clock it most certainly would. I usually only burn fires 10-6 while i'm in the shop and I supplement with a Dr. Heater infrared space heater overnight and it's 60 with no chill every time I walk in. This stove is easy to start fires in, keep them burning, and then burning down to ashs very very efficiently and for beginner to wood stoves it's a stellar learning curve. Plus, it looks good doing it. I can't recommend it highly enough.
