The HT-2000 is, by all indications so far, a very well-designed and well-made stove. It is confirmed capable of heating a moderately insulated 2000 square-foot single story house to 80 degrees F with an outdoor temperature slightly below freezing. It can accommodate longer firewood. It is attractive, easy to use, and does not have an expensive catalytic converter to replace. In my Virginia house, stove, chimney hardware, labor, and wood cost should offset my heat pump operation expense in 3 to 5 years. Plus, it's great to use renewable fuel and watch the fire.
