Customer review
Visibly the shipping carton appeared okay, but only a couple of staples were holding down the flaps on top. The top of the stove had a couple of scuff marks, but that APPEARED to be the only damage. I didn't slice open the carton at this point and I signed the paper for the delivery driver writing that I only did a visual inspection. It was also getting late as a by 5 p.m. delivery time became after 6:30 p.m. due to the driver getting lost. However, after opening the carton the next morning we couldn't believe the packaging. With no protection inside or outside of the glass door, the fire bricks, vermiculite bricks, two metal pipes, and 4 legs were just tossed in the firebox like pickup sticks with absolutely no packaging. Just there to roll and bang around. The glass surprisingly only had two, very small, marks on it. There were two firebricks broken in half and two vermiculite bricks with one broken in half and one in four pieces. I have contacted the vendor (Factory Pure) and told them of the problem and sent pictures. I've also asked them to please expedite the new bricks to me as soon as possible. We heat entirely with wood and have done so for 45 years. It is our only source of heat. Living in Maine, even with this year's weather and global warming, we can have a freeze any time now. The old stove has been removed and the new one installed. It looks great, but until I receive the new bricks and actually use it, I can't really give you a recommendation at this time. I also requested the aerosol can of paint which is supposed to be included and was not.
